Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main square (Dam Square). From Dam Square, walk straight down the Kalverstraat shopping street until you reach the Muntplein. Cross the bridge at Muntplein onto the Reguliersgracht, then turn left onto the Herengracht canal. Continue walking along the Herengracht for about 10 minutes until you reach number 497 on your right. This is the KattenKabinet.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram line 2 towards Nieuwmarkt. Get off at the 'Spui' stop. From there, head southwest on the Spui street towards the Herengracht canal. Turn right and walk along the Herengracht for approximately 8 minutes. You will find KattenKabinet at Herengracht 497 on your left.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    If you are close to the Leidseplein area, take bus line 283 or 284 from the bus stop ‘Leidseplein’ towards Zandvoort. Get off at the 'Haarlemmermeerstation' stop. Walk east towards Herengracht, then turn left and walk along the canal for about 5 minutes. KattenKabinet will be on your right at number 497.

    If you are renting a bicycle in Amsterdam, start by heading towards the Herengracht canal. From the Rijksmuseum, cycle in the direction of the Leidseplein, then continue on to the Herengracht. Follow the canal for approximately 10 minutes, and you will arrive at KattenKabinet located at Herengracht 497.
