Tram
If you are near the city center, you can take tram line 4, 14, or 24 to the 'Waterlooplein' stop. Once you exit the tram, walk south on Waterlooplein until you reach the Amstel River. Turn left and walk along the riverbank for about 5 minutes. The National Opera & Ballet will be on your right at Amstel 3.

Take Metro Line 52 (North-South line) to 'Rokin' station. After exiting the metro, head towards the exit for 'Dam Square'. Once you are above ground, walk east towards the Amstel River. Cross the river using the bridge and continue straight until you see the National Opera & Ballet at Amstel 3 on your left.
