From any location in Amsterdam, make your way to Amsterdam Central Station. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Zaandam (approximately €3.50). Board the train to Zaandam, which takes about 12 minutes. Upon arrival at Zaandam station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located just outside the station.

At the Zaandam bus terminal, look for bus line 391 or 394. These buses will take you directly to Zaanse Schans. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure.

Once you arrive at Zaanse Schans, follow the signs directing you to the windmills. The Zaansche Mill is located at Kalverringdijk 30, 1509 BT Zaandam. It is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. You will see several iconic windmills along the way, making for a picturesque stroll.
