Getting There

Walking
If you are at the center of Delft, start at the Markt square, where the iconic Nieuwe Kerk is located. From there, head south on Marktstraat until you reach the intersection with Voldersgracht. Turn left onto Voldersgracht and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Wijnhaven. Turn right onto Wijnhaven and keep walking until you reach the end of the street. Turn left onto Molslaan, and after a short walk, you will find yourself at the train station, Delft Centraal. From there, take a train to Leiden, which takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Stationsweg). Walk straight until you reach the Kruitschip street, where you will find Van der Werf Park.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Delft. Start from the center at the Markt square and head south on Marktstraat. Continue towards the Voldersgracht and then onto Wijnhaven. Once you reach the Delft Centraal station, follow the signs for the bike path leading to Leiden. The route is well-marked and takes about 30-40 minutes by bike. Upon reaching Leiden, follow the road signs to Kruitschip, and you'll arrive at Van der Werf Park.
