Once you arrive at Assen Station, exit the station and follow the signs towards the bus terminal. From there, take bus line 21 or 22 towards 'Assen, Asserbos'. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Asserbos' stop, and you will find the entrance to the Asserbos National Forest nearby.
