Public Transport - Bus
From Groningen city center, head to the 'Groningen, Grote Markt' bus stop. Take bus number 9 towards 'Assen, Station'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at 'Assen, Station' and follow the signs to the train station exit. From 'Assen, Station', it's a 10-minute walk to the Drents Museum. Head southeast on 'Stationsweg', then turn left onto 'Brink'. The museum will be on your right at Brink 1.
Train
From Groningen Central Station, board a train heading towards Assen. The journey typically takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Assen Station, exit the station and follow the signs for the exit. After exiting, turn right and head towards 'Stationsweg'. Walk straight until you reach 'Brink', then turn left. The Drents Museum will be located at Brink 1 on your right side.
Walking
If you are already in Assen, the Drents Museum is centrally located. From the Assen train station, exit towards 'Stationsweg' and walk straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with 'Brink'. Turn left onto 'Brink', and the museum will be on your right at Brink 1. This walk will take around 10-15 minutes.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental stations in Groningen. Cycle towards Assen via the designated bike paths, which is about 25 kilometers. Upon reaching Assen, follow the signs to 'Brink'. Once in the city center, the Drents Museum is located at Brink 1. There are bike racks available near the museum for parking.
