Getting There

Walking
From the main train station in Haarlem (Haarlem Centraal), exit the station and turn left onto the Koningstraat. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Spaarne River. Cross the bridge and follow the riverbank until you reach the intersection with the Zijlweg. Turn right onto Zijlweg and walk for another 5 minutes. At the next major intersection, turn left onto the Witte Herenstraat and continue straight until you reach the Bakenessergracht. Turn right and follow the canal until you see the large park area on your left. The Hortus Botanicus Leiden is located at Rapenburg 73, just a short walk from the canal.

Public Transport
From Haarlem, take the train from Haarlem Centraal to Leiden Centraal. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Centraal, exit the station and head towards the bus stop outside. Take bus number 27 towards Voorschoten and get off at the 'Rapenburg' stop. From the bus stop, walk straight down Rapenburg Street for about 5 minutes, and you will see the entrance to the Hortus Botanicus Leiden on your left at Rapenburg 73.
