Train
From Haarlem, walk to Haarlem train station. Take the intercity train towards Amsterdam Centraal. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head to the main exit. From the station, you can either walk or take public transport to reach Vijzelstraat 32. If walking, head south on Damrak and continue onto Rokin Street, then turn left onto Vijzelstraat. The Stadsarchief Amsterdam will be on your left.
Bus
From Haarlem, make your way to the nearest bus stop and take bus line 80 or 81 towards Amsterdam. These buses will take you to the Sloterdijk station, where you can switch to a train heading to Amsterdam Centraal. Once at Amsterdam Centraal, follow the directions for walking to Vijzelstraat 32 as mentioned above.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Haarlem and take the direct route via the N208 road. Follow the signs towards Amsterdam, which will take you along a bike path. Once you get closer to Amsterdam, navigate towards the city center and Vijzelstraat. Make sure to park your bike at a designated bike parking area near Vijzelstraat 32.
Tram
Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, take tram line 4 or 25 towards the direction of the 'Zuid' or 'Westerpark'. Get off at the 'Zevenlandenhuizen' stop. From there, walk back a few steps to the intersection and take a left onto Vijzelstraat. Continue walking straight, and you will see the Stadsarchief Amsterdam on your left.
Walking
If you're already in the city center of Amsterdam, you can walk to Vijzelstraat 32. Start from the Dam Square and head south down Damstraat, then turn left onto Rokin Street. Continue walking until you reach Vijzelstraat, where you'll turn left again. The Stadsarchief Amsterdam will be down the street on your left side.
