Walking
Starting from the central square, Grote Markt, head southeast towards the Spaarne River. Walk along the riverbank until you reach the bridge, called the 'Groene Hontbrug'. Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead on the Bakenessergracht. At the first intersection, turn left onto the Nieuwe Gracht. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, and you will find Huis Barnaart on your left at Nieuwe Gracht 7.

Public Transport (Bus)
From Haarlem Central Station, take bus line 50 or 300 towards the direction of 'Haarlem, Gierstraat'. Get off at the 'Haarlem, Gierstraat' stop. From there, walk down the Gierstraat until you reach the Spaarne River. Turn right and follow the river until you get to the Groene Hontbrug bridge.
