Getting there

Walking

From Utrecht Central Station, exit towards the main plaza. Head straight to the bus terminal located next to the station. Look for bus line 120, which goes directly to Amsterdam. Get off at Amsterdam, Bijlmer Arena station. Once there, transfer to train line NS Intercity towards Amsterdam Centraal. Get off at Amsterdam Centraal station. From the station, exit towards the Damrak, then turn right onto Damstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Egelantiersdwarsstraat. Turn left onto Eerste Egelantiersdwarsstraat and walk until you reach number 1, which is the Claes Claeszhofje.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops near Utrecht Central Station. Head south towards the Rijnsweerd. Follow the signs for the cycle path to Amsterdam, which will lead you through scenic countryside and small towns. Once you reach Amsterdam, follow the signs towards the city center. As you approach, navigate towards the Jordaan district. When you get to Egelantiersdwarsstraat, turn left and continue until you reach Claes Claeszhofje at number 1.

Train

From Utrecht Central Station, board the NS Intercity train heading towards Amsterdam Centraal. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head towards the tram stop. Take tram line 5 or 13, and get off at the Westermarkt stop. From there, walk towards Egelantiersdwarsstraat, which is about a 10-minute walk. Turn left onto Eerste Egelantiersdwarsstraat and walk until you reach number 1.
