    Train

    From Leiden Central Station, take a train towards Amsterdam Central. Trains to Amsterdam run frequently, so you should have a train within 15 minutes. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station towards the city center.

    Tram

    After exiting Amsterdam Central Station, head to the tram stop located just outside the station. Take tram line 14 towards 'Zuid' or line 4 towards 'Station Zuid'. Ride for about 5 stops until you reach the stop 'Muntplein'. From there, walk east on Amstelstraat for about 5 minutes until you reach the Amsterdam Museum at Amstel 51.

    Walking

    If you prefer walking, after arriving at Amsterdam Central Station, you can walk to the museum. Head southeast on Prins Hendrikkade, cross the canal and continue straight onto Amstelstraat. Continue walking for about 20 minutes and the Amsterdam Museum will be on your right at Amstel 51.
