Public Transport
From Leiden Central Station, take a train towards Utrecht Central Station. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Utrecht Central Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Look for bus line 120 towards 'Vleuten, De Haar'. Board the bus, and it will take you directly to 'Kasteellaan, De Haar' bus stop, which is a short walk from Castle De Haar. The total journey will take about 50 minutes.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Leiden. Start by heading to the main cycling path towards the south, following the signs for the A44 highway direction Utrecht. Continue along the cycling paths until you reach the city of Utrecht, which is approximately 20 km away. Once in Utrecht, follow the signs to Castle De Haar, located at Kasteellaan 1. This journey will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
Walking
Walking to Castle De Haar from Leiden is not practical due to the distance (approximately 20 km). However, if you are near the train station, it's best to take a train to Utrecht Central Station and then proceed with the bus as mentioned above.
