Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Leiden Central Station, head east towards Stationsweg. At the intersection, turn right onto Bechtholdweg and continue straight until you reach the water. Cross the bridge and follow the path along the canal until you reach the end of the street. Turn left onto Haarlemmerstraat, which will lead you towards the center of Leiden. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the large square at the center. From there, walk towards the right side of the square, following the signs to the bus and train stations. You will find the bus stop for Amsterdam here.

  • Bus

    At the bus stop near the large square in Leiden, take bus number 50 towards Amsterdam. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to have a valid ticket, which you can purchase at the bus station or through the bus app. Once you arrive in Amsterdam, get off at the Dam square stop. From there, walk straight down Damstraat until you reach the Damrak. The City Sightseeing Amsterdam office is located at Damrak 34, which is just a short walk from the Dam square.

    From Leiden Central Station, take a train towards Amsterdam Central Station. Check the train schedule for the next available train; the journey typically takes around 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main exit. From there, walk straight along the IJ, and turn left onto Damrak street. Continue walking down Damrak for about 10 minutes, and you will find City Sightseeing Amsterdam at Damrak 34.
