Once you arrive at Rotterdam Central Station, exit the station and head to the metro station located underground. Take Metro Line D (direction of de Akkers) or Line E (direction of Slinge) and get off at the stop called 'Delfshaven'. When you exit the metro, follow the signs to Delfshaven, which is a short walk away. You will be greeted by the picturesque canals and historic buildings of this charming area.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Leiden. From the city center, head towards the south along the N206 road. Follow the signs toward Rotterdam, which will lead you through scenic countryside and past several small towns. The ride takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you reach Rotterdam, continue to follow the signs to Delfshaven, where you can enjoy the beautiful canals and historic architecture.
Walking
While walking the entire distance to Delfshaven from Leiden is not practical due to the distance of about 20 kilometers, you can take a scenic walk to the nearest public transport point. Start in the city center of Leiden and make your way to Leiden Central Station (approximately 15 minutes on foot). From there, you can take the aforementioned train to get to Delfshaven.
