Walking
From the Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head south on Stationsweg. Continue straight until you reach the crossroads with the Breestraat. Turn left onto Breestraat and walk towards the city center. Keep walking until you reach the large square at the end of Breestraat, called the Hooglandsekerkgracht. Follow the canal and cross the bridge to your right. Once across, continue straight and you will arrive at the city center of Utrecht. From there, Mariaplaats is located to the east of the Dom Tower. Follow the signs or ask locals for further assistance.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near Leiden Central Station. Head east on Stationsweg until you reach the ring road (N206). Take a left onto the N206, and then follow the signs toward Utrecht. The bike ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Utrecht, follow the signs for the city center. As you approach, look for Mariaplaats, which is located just east of the Dom Tower.
Train
At Leiden Central Station, purchase a ticket to Utrecht Central Station. Trains run frequently, approximately every 15-30 minutes. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Utrecht Central Station, exit the station and walk towards the city center. Follow the signs towards Mariaplaats, which is about a 15-minute walk from the station, located just east of the Dom Tower.
