Getting There

Walking
Start at the Leiden Central Station. Head southwest on Stationsweg toward Hooigracht. Continue straight to stay on Hooigracht, which will turn into Breestraat. Follow Breestraat until you reach the intersection with the Haarlemmerstraat. Turn right onto Haarlemmerstraat and continue until you reach the end of the street. At the end, turn left onto the Nieuwe Beestenmarkt and walk towards the bridge. Cross the bridge into the city center. Continue straight to the Molen de Valk, then turn right onto the Hooigracht. Follow the canal until you reach the intersection with the Witte Singel. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the bus stop at C. van der Molenstraat. From there, catch bus 40 towards Rotterdam and get off at the 'Leuvehaven' stop. The Maritime Museum will be a short walk from there.

Public Transport
Begin at the Leiden Central Station. Inside the station, purchase a ticket for a train to Rotterdam Centraal. Board the train and enjoy the approximately 30-minute journey. Upon arriving at Rotterdam Centraal, exit the station and follow the signs to the Metro station. Take Metro Line D towards 'De Akkers' and travel to 'Beurs' station. Once you exit the metro, follow the signs for the exit towards 'Coolsingel'. After exiting, walk towards the Leuvehaven by heading southwest on Coolsingel and turning right onto the Leuvehaven. The Maritime Museum will be directly in front of you.

If you have access to a bicycle, start at the center of Leiden. Head south toward the Vlietweg and follow it until you reach the A44 highway. Follow the bike path signs towards Rotterdam. The route will take you through scenic areas and parks. Once you reach Rotterdam, follow the signs to the city center and specifically to the Leuvehaven. The Maritime Museum is located right at Leuvehaven 1.
