Walking
From the city center of Leiden (for instance, starting at the Hooglandse Kerk), head southwest on the Hooglandsekerkgracht. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Breestraat. Turn left onto Breestraat and walk until you reach the bridge over the Rijn. Cross the bridge and continue onto the Witte Singel. Stay on Witte Singel, which will turn into Zijlweg. Follow Zijlweg until you reach the intersection with Besjeslaan. Turn right onto Besjeslaan, and Park Matilo will be on your left.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, start from the city center (e.g., the VVV tourist office). Cycle south towards the Zijlweg, where you need to take a right. Continue down Zijlweg until you reach the Besjeslaan intersection. Turn left onto Besjeslaan. Park Matilo will be on your left. The bike ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport
From Leiden Central Station, take bus line 9 in the direction of 'Leiden, Roodenburgerweg.' Get off at the 'Leiden, Besjeslaan' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk a short distance down Besjeslaan, and you will find Park Matilo on your left. The total travel time is about 15-20 minutes.
