PJ was a fantastic guide for our day trip to The Hague. He made the whole experience feel really bespoke and had clearly taken the time to prepare in advance around what we wanted to see and do. He was particularly understanding of the children’s needs and was very flexible and easy-going throughout the day, which made such a difference for us as a family. He planned a great mix of sights and experiences without making the day feel rushed or overly structured. PJ was knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely pleasant company. We felt that the day had been planned specifically for us rather than following a standard tour itinerary. Linda was the perfect guide, host and ambassador! I’ve been to Leiden several times for work and wanted to learn more about the city and its history. Linda did that and much more as I was also introduced to Delph, a short train ride from Leiden, the city with historical significance and famous for its Blue Delph ceramics. After the tour was over, I spent the rest of the afternoon exploring Delph on my own. A super bonus was we had spectacular weather. Not too hot or cold. I would highly recommend this tour and Linda!

From the very start, Matthew made everything easy - he met us at the train station and seamlessly guided us through the journey from Amsterdam. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable about Leiden’s rich history, its famous intellectuals, and the remarkable inventions and discoveries that originated in this city. Having spent significant time living/studying in Leiden himself, he wove in personal anecdotes alongside the historical facts and landmarks, making the whole experience feel intimate and authentic rather than rehearsed. He is incredibly approachable and the kind of guide who makes you feel less like tourists and more like you’re exploring with a friend. The picnic was a lovely highlight, especially for the younger members of our group - the lunch and weather were simply perfect, though a heads-up for those with older guests...sitting on the ground was a bit of a challenge for some members in our group. And perhaps one of our favorite unplanned moments was when Matthew carved out time to stop at a local restaurant for a cold beer together. Leiden itself is a gem, but Matthew made this day truly memorable - he is relaxed, local, and genuinely fun. Don’t miss this experience...highly recommend, 10/10.
