Walking
From the center of Leiden, head towards the Leiden Central Station. Exit the station and walk straight towards the Beestenmarkt (market square). Once you reach Beestenmarkt, turn left onto the Nieuwe Beestenmarkt and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Haarlemmerstraat. Turn right onto Haarlemmerstraat and continue walking until you reach the train station at Leiden. From there, take a train to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head south to the Damrak. Continue walking along Damrak until you reach the intersection with the Dam Square. From Dam Square, head east towards the street called 'Oudezijds Voorburgwal'. Continue walking until you see the Scheepvaarthuis, located at 1011 AK Amsterdam.
Bus
Start at the Leiden Central Station and head to the bus terminal located right outside the station. Look for bus line 43 or 44 that goes to Amsterdam. Board the bus and enjoy the ride to Amsterdam. Get off at the stop 'Amsterdam, Dam' which is close to the Dam Square. From there, walk east towards 'Oudezijds Voorburgwal', and you will find the Scheepvaarthuis at 1011 AK Amsterdam.
