If you are traveling by car, head towards the A2 motorway. From Maastricht, take the A2 north towards Eindhoven. At the interchange 40, merge onto the A67 towards Venlo. Continue on the A67 until you reach the A73. Take the A73 towards Nijmegen, then merge onto the A12 and finally onto the A3 towards Wesel. Exit at Wesel and follow the signs to Wesel citadel located at 46483 Wesel, Germany. Make sure to check for parking options available near the citadel, which may incur parking fees.

For those using public transportation, take a train from any major station in Limburg Province towards Wesel. The nearest major train stations include Roermond or Venlo. Make sure to check the NS (Dutch Railways) or DB (German Railways) for train schedules. Upon arrival at Wesel train station, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a local bus (Bus 49) towards the Wesel citadel. The bus stop is directly outside the train station; you will need a ticket, which can be purchased at the station or via a mobile app.
