Continue on the A2 and take exit 2 towards Amstel. Follow the signs to the city center. Once you are in the city, follow signs for 'Centrum'. Thorbeckeplein is located near the Amstel river and is easily accessible. Look for parking near Rembrandtplein or use a parking garage such as Q-Park at Heinekenplein, which is a short walk away from Thorbeckeplein.

If you are taking public transportation from Rotterdam, start by taking a train from Rotterdam Central Station to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the train station and take tram line 4, 14, or 24 towards 'Zuid' or 'Amstelveen'. Get off at the 'Rembrandtplein' stop. From there, Thorbeckeplein is just a 5-minute walk away. Head towards the Amstel river, and you will find Thorbeckeplein adjacent to the river, surrounded by cafes and shops.
