Getting There

• Train

  From Utrecht Central Station, take a train towards Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main exit. Walk straight towards the main road (Damrak) and then turn left onto Damstraat. Continue walking until you reach the Amstel River, then turn right. The National Opera & Ballet is located at Amstel 3, just a short walk along the river.

• Bus

  From Utrecht Central Station, take bus number 120 or 126 to Amsterdam Amstel. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Amstel, walk towards the Amstel River and turn left. Follow the river until you reach Amstel 3, where the National Opera & Ballet is located.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Utrecht. Head northwest towards Amsterdam via the most direct cycling route, which is about 35 kilometers and takes approximately 1.5 hours. Follow the signs for cyclists towards Amsterdam, and upon arrival, navigate to the Amstel River, where you will find the National Opera & Ballet at Amstel 3.

• Tram

  From Utrecht Central Station, take a train to Amsterdam Central Station, then transfer to tram line 4 towards Amsterdam Zuid. Get off at the 'Waterlooplein' stop. From there, walk towards the Amstel River and turn left. Continue along the river until you reach Amstel 3, the location of the National Opera & Ballet.
