Public Transport - Train
To reach Herengracht in Amsterdam from Utrecht, first make your way to Utrecht Central Station. From the main hall, look for the signs directing you to the train platforms. Purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Central Station. The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main street in front of you, called Prins Hendrikkade. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Damrak. Here, turn left onto Damrak and walk until you see the Rokin street. Turn right onto Rokin. Keep walking until you reach Herengracht, which will be on your left.

Public Transport - Bus
From Utrecht, take bus line 120 or 121 from the bus stop near your location (check local maps for the nearest stop). These buses will take you to Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena station. From there, switch to the train towards Amsterdam Central. This journey takes about 50 minutes in total. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit and follow the same directions as provided for the train route: head towards Prins Hendrikkade, turn left onto Damrak, then right onto Rokin, and finally left onto Herengracht.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Utrecht and follow the designated bike paths towards Amsterdam. The ride is approximately 40 kilometers and will take around 2 hours. Start by heading northwest out of Utrecht towards the N230 road. Follow the signs for Amsterdam, which will lead you through beautiful Dutch countryside and several small towns. Once you reach Amsterdam, navigate through the local bike paths toward the city center, aiming for Herengracht, which is easily accessible by bike.

Walking
Walking from Utrecht to Amsterdam is quite a long trek, approximately 40 kilometers. It is not recommended unless you are an experienced long-distance walker. If you choose to walk, exit Utrecht heading northwest and follow the paths towards Amsterdam. It will take several hours, so ensure you are well-prepared with water and snacks. Once you arrive in Amsterdam, use the city maps available at various tourist information points to navigate to Herengracht.
