Car
From Zaanse Schans, get onto the A8 highway and head towards Amsterdam. After about 15 km, take the exit towards S116, continuing on to the S116, which will lead you into the heart of Amsterdam. Follow signs for 'Centrum' and then for 'Begijnhof.' Once in the city center, look for parking options; there are several parking garages nearby, such as 'Q-Park Amsterdam Centrum' (Address: Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 30, 1012 SG Amsterdam) where you can park your car (approximately €5 per hour). After parking, walk towards the Begijnhof, which is only a 10-minute walk from the garage.

Public Transportation
From Zaanse Schans, take the bus line 391 towards Amsterdam Sloterdijk from the bus stop 'Zaanse Schans, Zaans Museum'. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at 'Amsterdam, Centraal Station.' From there, take tram line 2 or 12 from 'Amsterdam, Centraal' towards 'Zuid' or 'Westermarkt' respectively. Get off at 'Spui' tram stop. Walk approximately 5 minutes to the Begijnhof by heading south on Spui, turning left onto the Begijnhof. The trip will cost around €5 for the bus and tram combined.
