If you're driving, begin your journey in Zaanse Schans and head southeast on the Zaanse Schans road towards the A8 highway. Merge onto A8 and follow signs for Amsterdam. After about 15-20 minutes, take the exit towards S114, continuing on to the S114 until you reach Kattenburgerplein. Look for parking options nearby, as parking in Amsterdam can be limited. The Maritime Museum will be located at Kattenburgerplein 1, 1018 KK Amsterdam.

Public Transportation (Train and Tram)
To reach the Maritime Museum using public transport, walk to the nearest bus stop in Zaanse Schans and take Bus 391 towards Amsterdam. Get off at Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. From there, take a train to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and walk to the tram stop. Take Tram 26 towards 'Amsterdam, Centraal Station'. Alight at 'Amsterdam, Kattenburgerstraat'. The museum is a short walk from the tram stop at Kattenburgerplein 1, 1018 KK Amsterdam. Note that tickets for bus and tram can be purchased via the GVB app or at vending machines, and typically cost around €3.20 for a single journey.
