From Carson City, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Route 19 bus towards South Lake Tahoe. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the South Lake Tahoe stop. Once you arrive, walk east on Lake Tahoe Blvd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Emerald Bay Road. Turn left onto Emerald Bay Road and continue for about 1 mile until you see signs for the Rubicon Trailhead on your right.
