If you are driving from South Lake Tahoe, start on US-50 E. After about 2.5 miles, turn right onto CA-89 N. Continue on CA-89 for approximately 9 miles. You will see signs for D. L. Bliss State Park. The entrance is located at 9881 CA-89, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. There is a parking fee of $10 for day use, which can be paid at the entrance.

To reach D. L. Bliss State Park using public transportation, take the South Lake Tahoe Transit Authority (SLTTA) bus from the Stateline Transit Center. You will need to take the Route 50 bus towards the 'Heavenly Village' stop. From there, transfer to the Route 89 bus heading towards Tahoe City. Get off at the D. L. Bliss State Park stop. Be sure to check the SLTTA schedule for the latest bus times, as they can vary seasonally. The fare for a one-way trip is approximately $2.

For those who prefer biking, you can cycle from South Lake Tahoe to D. L. Bliss State Park. Follow the bike paths along US-50 E and then merge onto CA-89 N. The distance is about 10 miles, and it is recommended to wear a helmet and ensure your bike is in good condition. D. L. Bliss State Park has bike racks available for parking. Note that there is also a $10 parking fee if you are driving part of the way.
