Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach Skunk Harbor in Glenbrook, take the Douglas County Route 19 bus from Carson City. Board the bus at the Carson City Transit Center located at 2050 E College Pkwy. The bus departs every hour. Ride the bus to the Glenbrook stop. From the bus stop, walk south along Highway 50 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to the Skunk Harbor trailhead. Follow the trail to the scenic spot.

• Bicycle

  If you're comfortable biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Carson City. Start your journey by heading southeast on E William St, then take a right onto S Carson St. Continue straight until you reach Highway 50. Turn left on Highway 50 and bike approximately 10 miles to Glenbrook. Once you arrive at Glenbrook, look for the trailhead signs directing you to Skunk Harbor.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk to Skunk Harbor from Carson City. Start at the Nevada State Capitol and head east on W Musser St. Continue onto S Carson St, then take a right onto Highway 50. Walk along the highway for about 10 miles, following the pedestrian paths. Once in Glenbrook, look for the signs to Skunk Harbor. Please note that this is a long walk and may take several hours, so plan accordingly.
