    From the center of Douglas County, head north on US-395 towards South Lake Tahoe. Continue on US-395 for approximately 20 miles, then take the exit towards CA-89 South. Follow CA-89 South for about 5 miles until you reach the junction with US-50. Merge onto US-50 West and continue for about 2 miles. Take the exit for Lake Tahoe Boulevard (CA-89). Follow Lake Tahoe Boulevard for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Heritage Way. The Tallac Historic Site will be on your right at 1 Heritage Way.

    If you are using public transportation, start at the Douglas County Transit Center. Take the bus heading towards South Lake Tahoe. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of US-50 and Lake Tahoe Boulevard. From there, you can walk approximately 0.5 miles west along Lake Tahoe Boulevard, then turn left onto Heritage Way. The Tallac Historic Site will be on your right at 1 Heritage Way.
