Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the Great Basin National Park Visitor Center, located at 100 Great Basin National Park, Baker, NV 89311. From there, head east on NV-486 E for about 5 miles. Continue straight onto NV-487 N for approximately 10 miles. You will reach the entrance of the park. Drive another 4 miles to reach the Lexington Arch trailhead, which is well-marked. There is no parking fee at this location.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options to Great Basin are limited. The closest major bus station is in Ely, NV, approximately 60 miles from the park. From Ely, you can rent a car or arrange for a taxi service to drive you to the park. Once in the park, follow the same route described for car travel to reach Lexington Arch. Be prepared for potential costs associated with car rentals or taxi services.
Hiking
If you are already within the Great Basin National Park and prefer hiking, you can take the Lexington Arch trail. The trailhead is located at the end of a dirt road off NV-487 N. It is about a 1.5-mile hike (round trip) from the trailhead to the arch. Ensure you have good hiking shoes, plenty of water, and be prepared for varying weather conditions. The trail can be rocky and steep in places.
