From Great Basin National Park, exit the park and head west on NV-486 N. Follow NV-486 N for approximately 45 miles. Continue onto US-50 W for about 25 miles. Take the exit onto NV-28 N towards Glenbrook. Follow NV-28 N for about 10 miles until you reach Skunk Harbor, located on the east shore of Lake Tahoe in Glenbrook. Note that parking is available near the trailhead.

While public transportation options are limited, you can take a Greyhound bus from Ely to Reno. From Reno, you can use a rideshare service to reach the Skunk Harbor area. After arriving in Reno, book a ride to Glenbrook, which is about 30 miles away from Reno. Make sure to confirm ride availability and costs ahead of time.

If you're already in Glenbrook, you can hike to Skunk Harbor. From the main road, find the trailhead which is accessible from NV-28.
