From any location within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, head towards U.S. Route 93 South. If you are in the northern part of the park, you can take the Lakeshore Road to connect with Route 93. Follow U.S. Route 93 South towards Boulder City. After approximately 20 miles, take the exit for NV-164 towards Searchlight. Continue on NV-164 for about 26 miles until you reach Searchlight. In Searchlight, turn right onto Nelson Cutoff Road. Follow this road for approximately 5 miles until you reach Nelson Ghost Town. The drive offers scenic views and should take around 1 hour from the Lake Mead area, depending on your starting point.
