Continue on US-50 for about 2 miles; then, take the exit for CA-89 S towards Emerald Bay. Stay on CA-89 S for about 5 miles. Turn right onto Heritage Way. The Tallac Historic Site will be on your left at 1 Heritage Way, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. There is parking available on site, and be aware that some parking lots may charge a fee.

    If you are using public transportation, you can take the South Tahoe Area Transit (STATA) bus. Board the Blue Line bus at any of the designated stops in South Lake Tahoe. Make sure to check the schedule for the Blue Line, which typically runs every hour. Get off at the 'Tallac Historic Site' stop. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the site. A single ride on the bus costs approximately $2, so have cash or a transit card ready.
