Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center. Head south on NV-159 W (Blue Diamond Rd) for about 4 miles until you reach the entrance to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. After entering, pay the entrance fee of $15 for a vehicle. Continue on the scenic loop road for approximately 5 miles until you see the sign for Calico View. The parking area is located on your right side, and there is a short walking path to the viewpoint.

    Public transportation options are limited directly to Red Rock Canyon. You can take the RTC bus route 201 from the Las Vegas Strip to the nearest stop at the intersection of W. Charleston Blvd and S. Durango Dr. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the entrance of Red Rock Canyon. Once at the entrance, pay the $15 vehicle fee, and continue on the scenic loop road for approximately 5 miles until you find Calico View. There is a parking area available.
