Public Bus
From Sparks, head to the nearest bus stop and take the RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus route that goes towards Reno. You can catch the bus at the Sparks Marina Park or the Nugget Casino bus stop. Make sure to ask the bus driver if the bus goes to Lake Tahoe or Kings Beach specifically. You will transfer at the Reno Transit Center to a bus that heads toward Kings Beach. Once on that bus, stay on until you reach the Kings Beach stop. From there, it is a short walk to Speedboat Beach, located at 9898 Lake St. Follow the signs toward the beach, which should take you directly to the location.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Sparks. After renting, head towards the Truckee River bike path, which will lead you to the scenic route towards Lake Tahoe. Follow the path along the river until you reach the outskirts of Kings Beach. Once you arrive in Kings Beach, navigate towards Lake St. by following the signs to the beach area. Speedboat Beach is located directly on Lake St. at 9898 Lake St.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the center of Sparks and head west towards the Truckee River. Follow the river path that leads you towards the Tahoe National Forest area.
