From Reno, take US-395 South. Merge onto NV-431 East (Mount Rose Hwy) and follow for approximately 14 miles. You will reach the junction with NV-28. Turn left onto NV-28 North. Continue on NV-28 for about 5 miles until you reach the Skunk Harbor trailhead. Note that parking may have fees ranging from $5 to $10 depending on the season.

From South Lake Tahoe, take NV-207 (Kingsbury Grade) and follow it until it merges with NV-28. Turn left onto NV-28 North and continue for about 10 miles. Look for signs indicating the Skunk Harbor trailhead. Be prepared for potential parking fees.
