    If you're traveling by car, start your journey by heading towards U.S. Route 6 from any location in Western Nevada. Depending on your starting point, you may need to navigate through local roads to reach U.S. Route 6. Once on U.S. Route 6, head east towards Ely, Nevada. After approximately 85 miles, you will reach Ely. From Ely, take U.S. Route 93 south for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with Nevada State Route 318. Follow NV-318 south for about 25 miles until you see signs for Basin and Range National Monument. Turn right onto the access road leading into the monument. Note that some areas may require a high-clearance vehicle due to rough terrain.
