Walking
Start from the center of Hienghène, near the main market area. Head east on Route de la Côte towards the beach. Continue along this road, enjoying the scenic views of the coastline. After approximately 1 km, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path, which will lead you inland. Follow the signs for Col de Ga Wivaek. The path will gradually ascend, and you may encounter some local wildlife along the way. After about another 2 km of walking, you will reach a viewpoint area where you can rest and take in the views before proceeding to the final stretch. The last part of the trail may be steeper, so take it slow. After approximately 1 km from the viewpoint, you will arrive at Col de Ga Wivaek, where you can enjoy the stunning vistas.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Hienghène. Start your journey from the main square, cycling east on Route de la Côte. This road is relatively flat and offers beautiful views of the ocean. After about 2 km, you will reach a fork; take the left path leading inland towards Col de Ga Wivaek. The terrain will become more challenging as you ascend, so be prepared for some steep sections. Continue cycling for about 3 km until you reach a designated parking area, which is close to the viewpoint. From there, you can lock your bike and walk the remaining distance to Col de Ga Wivaek, which is about 1 km away.
