Car
If you're driving from anywhere in Maré, head towards the main road that connects to the ferry terminal where you can take a ferry to Nouméa. Follow signs towards the terminal, and once you arrive, board the ferry. The ferry ride to Nouméa takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Nouméa, you will need to drive. Take Rue de l'Aéroport towards the city center. Continue straight onto Rue Guy Pètre, and you will find Place des Cocotiers on your right. Parking is available around the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Place des Cocotiers using public transportation, first take a taxi or shuttle from your location in Maré to the ferry terminal. The cost for this taxi ride may vary, but expect to pay around 1,000 to 2,000 XPF. Once at the terminal, board the ferry to Nouméa, which costs approximately 2,500 XPF for a round trip. Upon arriving in Nouméa, you can either walk or take a local bus to reach Place des Cocotiers. If walking, it’s about a 20-minute walk from the ferry terminal; just head down Rue de l'Aéroport to Rue Guy Pètre, and you will see the park on your right.
