If you're driving from Thio to Blue River Provincial Park, start by heading south on the main road (Route Territoriale 1) towards Yaté. Continue for approximately 50 kilometers. Watch for signs indicating the park entrance on your left. The park's address is 1 Rte du Pont Pérignon, Yaté 98832, New Caledonia. Make sure to check road conditions, as some areas may be affected by weather. There are no tolls along this route.
Public Transportation
To reach Blue River Provincial Park via public transportation, take a bus from Thio to Yaté. Buses can be infrequent, so check the local schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Yaté, you will need to hire a taxi or arrange for a rideshare service to cover the remaining distance to the park, which is about 10 kilometers from the bus station. Expect to pay around 1,500 to 2,500 XPF for the taxi ride. Confirm the taxi fare beforehand to avoid surprises.
