From downtown Concord, head southwest on Main St toward Pleasant St. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with State St. Turn left onto State St and follow it for approximately 0.3 miles. As you approach the intersection with N Main St, keep an eye out for the local bus stop. Board the bus heading towards Hooksett. Stay on the bus for about 20-25 minutes until you reach the Hooksett stop near Head's Pond Trail. Once you disembark, follow the signs towards Head's Pond Trail. The Portsmouth & Concord Railroad Historical Marker is located along this trail.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike shops in Concord. Start from Main St and head towards the Merrimack River on the Riverwalk. Follow the river trail heading north until you reach the point where it connects to Hooksett Rd. Continue on Hooksett Rd until you reach the intersection with Head's Pond Trail. Turn right onto Head's Pond Trail, and you will find the Portsmouth & Concord Railroad Historical Marker along the trail. The entire trip should take about 30 minutes depending on your speed.
