Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to 5th Ave & Central Park S from anywhere in Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park, start by getting onto NJ-20 N from the park. Continue on NJ-20 N for about 1.5 miles until you merge onto I-80 E. Follow I-80 E for about 10 miles, then take the exit for I-95 N toward George Washington Bridge. Continue on I-95 N for about 5 miles, then take the exit for the Lincoln Tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, follow signs for 42nd St. Take a left onto 42nd St, then right onto 6th Ave. After a few blocks, take a left onto Central Park South, and you will arrive at the intersection of 5th Ave & Central Park S. Parking can be found at nearby garages, so look for signs as you approach the area.

  To reach 5th Ave & Central Park S using public transportation, start at Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park and walk to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. Take the NJ Transit bus #190 or #191 to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. Once at the terminal, exit and walk to 42nd St. Take the subway from the Port Authority Bus Terminal by catching the A, C, or E train at 42nd St. to 42nd St./Port Authority Bus Terminal. Transfer to the N, Q, R, or W train at Times Sq-42nd St. and head towards 5th Ave/59th St. station. Once you exit the station, walk east towards 5th Ave & Central Park S, and you will arrive at your destination.
