For those using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest station in Newton, NJ. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to High Point State Park, as direct public transportation to the park may not be available. Inform the driver to drop you off at the park's visitor center, which is the best starting point to reach the Picnic Area. After arriving at the visitor center, follow the car guidance mentioned above to reach the Picnic Area.

If you're already within the park and near the visitor center, you can walk to the Picnic Area. Begin at the visitor center and head south on the main road.
