    From High Point State Park, start by heading southwest on NJ-23 S. Continue on NJ-23 S for approximately 22 miles. Take the exit for I-287 S toward Morristown. Merge onto I-287 S and continue for about 10 miles. Take exit 30B for NJ-202 S toward Flemington. Continue on NJ-202 S for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Pleasant Plains Rd. Turn left onto Pleasant Plains Rd. The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge will be on your right at 32 Pleasant Plains Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.

    From High Point State Park, you will first need to drive or arrange transportation to the nearest train station, which is in Newton, NJ. Once at the Newton train station, take the NJ Transit train on the Morris & Essex Line towards New York Penn Station. Get off at the Bernardsville station. From Bernardsville, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge at 32 Pleasant Plains Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
