Getting There

  • Car

    From the High Point State Park Visitor Center, head south on Route 23 for about 15 miles. Take the exit toward I-80 E and merge onto I-80 E. Follow I-80 E for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 15E to merge onto NJ-440 S toward Bayonne. Continue on NJ-440 S for about 7 miles. Take the exit toward Route 185/SIP Avenue. Merge onto Port Terminal Blvd, and the Tear Drop Memorial will be on your right at 51 Port Terminal Blvd, Bayonne, NJ 07002.

  • Public Transportation

    From High Point State Park, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest public transportation hub, which is in Newton, NJ. Once at the Newton station, take NJ Transit Bus 328 to the Hoboken Terminal. From Hoboken, transfer to the PATH train to World Trade Center. At the World Trade Center, take the PATH train to Exchange Place. From there, catch the NJ Transit Light Rail to the 8th Street station. Walk two blocks to the New Jersey Turnpike bus stop, and take the bus heading towards Bayonne. Get off at the Port Terminal Blvd stop, and you will find the Tear Drop Memorial nearby.
