Pier 54: A Scenic Historical Landmark in New York City

Getting There

• Ferry

  From Hoboken Terminal, walk to the Hoboken Ferry Terminal, which is located just a few blocks away (about a 5-10 minute walk). Head west on Hudson Street towards the waterfront, and then turn left onto the waterfront walkway. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the NYC Ferry service to Manhattan. Board the ferry heading toward 'West 39th Street' or 'Wall Street'. The ferry ride takes approximately 8-10 minutes. Once you arrive in Manhattan, you will be near Pier 54.

• Bus

  From Hoboken, head to the nearest bus stop on Washington Street. Look for the NJ Transit bus routes 126 or 123 heading towards New York City. Board the bus and stay on for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. After disembarking, walk west on 42nd Street toward the Hudson River, and then head south on 12th Avenue. Continue walking until you reach Pier 54.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start at any point in Hoboken and make your way to the waterfront along the Hudson River. Follow the path south along the waterfront promenade. This scenic route should take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your starting point. Keep an eye on the piers; Pier 54 will be located at the intersection of West Street and 13th Avenue in Manhattan.
