Getting There

• Walk

  From your location in Hoboken, start by heading towards the Hoboken Terminal. You can find directions to the Terminal from most areas in Hoboken. Once at the Terminal, take the PATH train to 14th Street Station in Manhattan. After exiting the train, follow the signs leading to the 8th Avenue exit. Once you are on 8th Avenue, turn left and walk south until you reach West 4th Street. Turn right on West 4th Street, and then take a left onto 7th Avenue South. Continue walking for about two blocks, and you will find the Village Vanguard at 178 7th Ave S, New York, NY 10014 on your left.

• Bus

  You can also take the NJ Transit bus from Hoboken. Look for the bus stop near your location that services routes to New York City. Take a bus that goes to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Once you arrive at the terminal, exit and head towards 8th Avenue. Walk south on 8th Avenue until you reach West 4th Street, then turn right. Finally, take a left onto 7th Avenue South, and after a short walk, you will reach the Village Vanguard at 178 7th Ave S, New York, NY 10014.

• Ferry

  For a scenic route, take the NY Waterway ferry from Hoboken to Manhattan. Head to the Hoboken ferry terminal, which is located along the waterfront. Board the ferry heading to the World Financial Center. Once you disembark, walk north to West Street and then turn left. Walk until you reach the battery park and then navigate to 8th Avenue, heading north. Continue until you reach West 4th Street, turn right, then take a left onto 7th Avenue South. The Village Vanguard will be on your left at 178 7th Ave S, New York, NY 10014.
