Getting There

  • PATH Train

    From Hoboken Terminal, take the PATH train towards World Trade Center. It’s a short ride, approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 9th Street station. Once you exit the station, head north on 9th Street towards Washington Square Park. The park is about a 15-minute walk from the station, and you will pass by several shops and restaurants along the way.

  • Bus

    You can take NJ Transit Bus 126 from Hoboken. Board the bus at the bus stop located at Washington Street and 1st Street. Make sure to tell the driver you are going to New York City. After about 20-30 minutes, get off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, you can walk to Washington Square Park. Exit the terminal, walk south on 8th Avenue, then take a left on West 4th Street. The park will be on your right.

  • Ferry

    If you prefer a scenic route, take the NY Waterway ferry from Hoboken to Manhattan. Board the ferry at the Hoboken Terminal. After about a 10-minute ride, you will arrive at the World Financial Center. From there, walk towards the Battery Park City area, then head north on West Street to reach the subway station at Chambers Street. Take the A, C, or E train and get off at West 4th Street station. Walk east for about 10 minutes to reach Washington Square Park.

  • Walking

    If you are feeling adventurous, you can also walk across the Hudson River. Start at the Hoboken waterfront and walk towards the George Washington Bridge. Once you reach the bridge, follow the pedestrian pathway, which will bring you to the Manhattan side. After crossing, you can take the subway or walk to Washington Square Park by heading south.
