Take the subway to Washington Square Park by boarding the A, C, E, or B, D, F, M trains at any station. If you're coming from Times Square, take the 1 train downtown to 14th St. and 8th Ave. From there, transfer to the A, C, or E trains and head one stop to West 4th St. Station. Use the Washington Square Park exit, and once you exit the station, walk straight ahead to the park. The fountain is located at the north end of the park.

To reach Washington Square Fountain by bus, you can take the M20 or M5 bus routes. If you are near 14th St., catch the M20 bus heading south and get off at the 5th Ave/Waverly Pl stop. Walk east towards the park entrance on Washington Square North. The fountain is located directly in front of you as you enter the park.

From NYU campus, head south on Washington Square East, then turn left at Washington Square North. The fountain will be straight ahead.
