Getting There

• Car

  From any location in Jersey Shore, access the Garden State Parkway (GSP) North. Follow the GSP until you reach exit 83 for NJ-34 North toward Freehold. Continue on NJ-34 North for about 10 miles until you reach the intersection with NJ-195 West. Take NJ-195 West for approximately 12 miles. Exit onto I-95 North towards New York City. After about 6 miles, take exit 16C for US-9 South toward Freehold. Follow US-9 South for about 6 miles and then take the exit for NJ-528 West. Continue on NJ-528 West for 4 miles until you see the entrance to Six Flags Great Adventure on your right at 1 Six Flags Blvd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527. Parking fees may apply, typically around $30 for a day.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Six Flags Great Adventure from Jersey Shore using public transportation, start by taking a NJ Transit train from your nearest station to the Long Branch station. From Long Branch, transfer to the North Jersey Coast Line train towards New York Penn Station. Get off at the Seaside Park station. From there, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service, as there are no direct public transport options to the park. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes, costing around $50-$70. Check NJ Transit schedules for train timings.

• Bus

  You can also take a NJ Transit bus from the Jersey Shore. Look for the 817 bus from points along the shore (like Point Pleasant or Seaside Heights) heading towards Lakewood. Once you arrive in Lakewood, transfer to the 133 bus, which goes directly to Six Flags Great Adventure. This route may take about 1.5 to 2 hours, and bus fares typically range from $2.50 to $5.00 depending on the distance.
